HOW IT WORKS

This patented lock bar system utilizes your tailgate latches along with a lock bar to safely secure your ramps without any tie downs, straps or chains. Five star ramp safety bar is engineered and designed for your safety and convenience.


The versatile Clamp-A-Ramp is designed to load your toys and tools (ATVs, motorcycles, snowmobiles, golf carts and lawn equipment) and is compatible for use on a wide range of truck makes and models.


The kit includes all fittings required for installation and are made in the USA with high quality materials.

Lock Pin Installation

Full Size Trucks

*Lock bar will not work on Ford tailgates with built-in step.

Select the correct color bushings, assemble using the 1/4 bolt thread the washer, bushings, second washer and lock nut.

Thread yellow nut "backwards" on bolt.

Install lock pin on lock bar with one washer and lock nut.

Bracket Installation

Prior to installation of brackets, remove rubber pads from each ramp peg. Latch lock bar in tailgate in order to obtain proper measurement for brackets.

1 – Place each bracket upside down on lock bar and ramp peg.

Place each bracket upside down on lock bar and ramp peg.

2 – Using a pen mark ramp peg for drilling. This mark indicates where you drill.

3 – Drill one 3/8" hole in each peg.

4 – Using barrel screws, attach each bracket to ramp pegs. *Other bolts & lock nuts can be used.
